The Bristol 10k race will take place on 9 May 2010. It follows a similar route to the Bristol half marathon and so provides a good training base for those wishing to run the Bristol half marathon later in the year.

The race starts at At-Bristol, takes in the harbourside and Avon Gorge and eventually finishes at the start point.

Two official charities are being supported by the race; St Peters Hospice and COCO (Comrades Of Children Overseas), a charity set up to improve the lives of children in underdeveloped countries through the provision of health and education intitatives.

The 10th anniversary of the Asics British 10k race will take place on 11 July 2010 and will take runners on a historic tour of London.

The race begins at Hyde Park Corner and ends at Horse Guards Parade at the end of Whitehall. The route follows the river, taking in St James Palace, Trafalgar Square and St Paul's Cathedral, up to Tower Bridge where it loops back to take runners past the Tate Modern and the London Eye; one of Britain's most popular tourist attractions.

There is an opportunity for teams to race in the Corporate Team Challenge where groups of 6 colleagues, any mix of male and female, can run the marathon as a relay.

Entries are always sold out for the British 10k well in advance so it's advisable to get entries in early.
