Become a part of a momentous day in British cycling by taking part in the Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Pennines – England’s first closed road sportive.

Sister event to the now legendary Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia, Etape Pennines promises to rival Etape Caledonia both in terms of sheer beauty and undulating, challenging terrain.

Taking place on the 22nd October 2012, 3,000 cycling enthusiasts are expected to mount the start line in the heart of Durham for this inaugural event.

We are delighted to say that Rob Hayles, former British Olympic cyclist and World and Commonwealth Champion, will also be making his way around the approx 78 mile closed road route, giving advice and motivation to riders of all abilities along the way. What’s more, Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Pennines has all the additional extras you would expect with an event of this size.

With Endura producing the official event merchandise, Zipvit providing recovery bars and gels along the route and Mavic making sure your bike is in tip top condition before the ride and helping you should you come unstuck whilst making your way around the stunning closed roads – no stone has been left unturned with regard to your experience on the day.

With only a small number of places left, we advise you to secure your place now to avoid disappointment.
