The route of the eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona becomes a sight-seeing tour of Barcelona, and is equally great for spectators. More than 15,000 runners filled the streets of the city.

Factors such as the climate, the cuisine, the many cultural attractions offered by the city of Barcelona, as well as the race passing through more than 21km of attractive urban landscape, makes it the best way to get to know the city. Attractions include Litoral zone and Arc de Triomf, to name a couple.

Sport and leisure come together in this great event, to make a big public celebration. Numerous bands, giant organisations and associations co-operate with the organization to provide runners and spectators with a gala atmosphere reminiscent of its Olympic past.

Florence Kiplagat made history once again, beating her own record established just one year ago at the eDreams Mitja Marató de Barcelona. The Kenyan runner beat the female world record, crossing the finish line with a time of 65.09 and at the same time, she beat the world record of the 15 km and 20 km.
