Run for the good times at Australia’s leading marathon, the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, which will be held 2 – 3 July in one of the world’s most popular holiday destinations; Queensland, Australia.

Join more than 28,000 participants of all ages and abilities from around the world in races including the Gold Coast Airport Marathon, Wheelchair Marathon, ASICS Half Marathon, Wheelchair 15km, Southern Cross University 10km Run, Suncorp Bank 5.7km Challenge and Zespri Junior Dash.

Enjoy the beautiful Gold Coast on the internationally recognised fast, flat and scenic course and take in the beautiful broadwater and sparkling surf beaches. Historically, the weather is great for running; low humidity, little or no wind in the morning and mild temperatures.

The conditions are ideal if you’re striving for a personal best time; 60% of participants in 2015 registered their fastest ever time at their chosen distance. It’s also a great place to run your first marathon!

You’ll love the support of the crowd as you run in Australia’s favourite holiday playground and enjoy the soundtrack provided by numerous live entertainers lining the route.

Friends and family not supporting you roadside can watch all the action at home via the live webcast and keep abreast of your progress via live timing.

The Gold Coast Airport Marathon was the first Australian marathon race to attain an International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Road Race Gold Label, putting it in esteemed company around the world.

Visitors and locals can enjoy the free ASICS Sport & Leisure Expo at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and will even have the chance to meet and take advice from marathon legends including Rob de Castella, Steve Moneghetti, Pat Carroll, Lee Troop and Benita Willis. Early bird fees finish Thursday 28 April 2016.
