The Sunday Mail Suncorp Bank Bridge to Brisbane Day celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.

The event has become a tradition for many Brisbane locals and has grown to become the state’s largest Fun Run with more than 400,000 people having participated over the years.

The 2016 event will take place on Sunday August 28 with a brand new course to be announced in early April.

With a maximum of 30,000 participants, this year will be a sell-out. The event attracts a wide range of participants from elite runners to friends and family groups; this is no surprise considering the great prizes, entertainment and atmosphere available on the day.

The event is also a great platform for participants who are eager to fundraise for a charity close to their hearts. 2015 saw participants raise more than $700,000 for their chosen charity.

Early Bird Registrations for the 2016 Sunday Mail Suncorp Bank Bridge to Brisbane Day open on 3rd April.

Welcome to the 5th Fjordkraft Bergen City Marathon – a beautiful and inspiring run that barely leaves the city centre.

Experience the atmosphere at the start and finish lines at Bryggen in Bergen, run through Gamle Bergen (Old Bergen), past the Fisketorget (Fish Market) and enjoy the amazing view from Fjellveien.

The course also continues along the beautiful walkway around Store Lungegårdsvann.

You will be met by a buzzing crowd as you run through Nygårdsparken.   This is where the 5km run starts.

Narrow streets and charming wooden houses at Nordnes lead you further on to Nordnesparken. This is where the Kids Run starts.

You will now be ready to take the final leg back to Bryggen. It will be a wonderful experience to compete in a running event close to the city centre.

Bergen is a charming big city with a small town feel. If you don’t see enough of it on your run, try a trip on the Fløybanen or cable car to the top of Ulriken mountain. The view is magnificent.
