The absolute victory was given to the favorite, the Ethiopian Dino Safir, with a time of 2:09:31; the 9th best time in the history of the race. He beat the legion of Kenyans who fought for the victory, ahead of the Kenyan Albert Korir (2:10:08) and Jafred Chirchir Kipchumba (2:10:23); on a day which delivered a wonderful festive atmosphere in the city.

The race course took in the most emblematic places of Barcelona; the Camp Nou, La Pedrera, Sagrada Familia, Calatrava Bridge, Forum, the seafront and Arc de Triomf. A fast track but very beautiful allowing all participants to enjoy the best of the city.
