A total of more than 90,000 runners have completed the first 30 races, and the interest in the 2010 race is greater than ever.

"The number of participants is limited to 7,000 runners in the half marathon, and 1,000 in the quarter-marathon. We expect to reach that limit at the middle of March, "says race director Klaus Kristiansen.

As a tribute to the race and the high class service, Danish Athletic Federation has asked BT Half Marathon to be host of the Danish championship for seniors, young seniors and veterans 2010.

A large number of lottery prizes, including a marathon journey at a value of DKK 10,000 are an extra incentive to participate in BT Half Marathon.

SNIK and the newspaper BT are looking forward to welcome you to the race.

The American Odyssey Relay Run Adventure is best suited for teams of 12 runners. Each runner runs 3 legs of the 36 segment course. But teams with fewer than 12 runners may participate. It's best if the number on the team can be divided into 36.

As with last year, the race will start in Gettysburg, PA in the shadow of the Civil War battlefields. From Gettysburg the race will head out to Fairfield, PA, where runners will cross two beautiful covered bridges, climb a monster hill, run the dirt roads in Michaux State Forest and slowly begin to make their way toward MD.

It will be getting dark as many runners cross the famed Mason Dixon line from the old north into the old south. This Leg will end at Smithsburg High School. From Smithsburg runners head to Boonsboro and the Odyssey Oasis festival. This Leg will end at the Boonsboro High School complex (BHS). There will be food, showers, music and massage at the Odyssey Oasis.

From Boonsboro runners will head to Sharpsburg, home of the Antietam Battlefield. Entrants will run through the battlefield during the middle of the night and on into the early hours of the morning. From Antietam they will head to Shepherdstown, WV and the Bavarian Inn before coming back towards Harpers Ferry, another famous Civil War landmark. Runners will actually hop onto the C & O Canal just north west of Harpers Ferry at Dargan Bend and head toward DC. Along the way runners will pass historic Riley's Lock and Great Falls, MD.

The final runner will get to run through Georgetown, past the Kennedy Center, the Watergate, the Lincoln Memorial and the Jefferson Memorial before finishing with team mates at the SW Waterfront in Washington, DC.
