This year’s Endure24 broke records and brought Ultra Marathon running to the mass participation market. The unique mix of club runners competing in teams and experienced Ultra distance runners aiming for the 100 mile plus target make this a unique event. Referred to by competitors as Glastonbury for runners the race featured a lively music filled 24 hour race village and real time screens giving competitor’s up to date information on their lap times and overall positions within their categories.

Two thirds of the race takes place on forest trails and the final third snakes through the race village campsite offering the opportunity for teams to support their runners and the solo competitors from course side encampments.

The team race got off to a strong start with the combined Mizuno/Silva/Alton Sports team initially taking the lead with a couple of Great Britain team members setting the pace but as day gave way to night last year's winners, Reading Joggers gradually eased back into the lead eventually taking the win with 205 miles covered.

The Solo competition was won by Jacek Latala from Ireland with a final total of 115 miles and first time Ultra runner local girl Katie Herrington put in an amazing performance with a total of 105 miles. Both runners win a place in the new T184 race (184 mile unsupported GPS enabled Thames Path Ultra).
