Great Lake Relay
Get a team together and run around Lake Taupo in the central North Island – it’s the largest lake in Australasia.
Participants have called it the most social and scenic event in New Zealand and the event is considered the best team-building exercise of all time.
Each year, about 4500 participants cover the 155km course. Each team consists of 10 to 18 members, either running or walking the entire distance around Lake Taupo.
An exciting addition introduced in 2010 was the Nature Valley Length of the Lake Relay catering for individuals or teams of 5 to 8 who can run or walk to complete the eight legs from Pukawa at the southern end of the lake back to Taupo.– 67.5km.

Cathay Pacific Half Marathon & 11km Run/Walk
This is a reverse handicap event. Participants start according to their estimated running time so that they all finish around 10.30am.
Held in Auckland, this is largely a waterfront run that starts and ends at Orakei Domain in Okahu Bay.
Participants head first along the waterfront towards the central city. They loop up around central city streets and return along the waterfront before another loop into some of Auckland's prettiest housing areas. From there runners return to the beach at Kohimarama and run along the waterfront to finish back where they started – in time for coffee, entertainment and spot prizes.

Rotorua Off Road Half Marathon
This event has options for all the family, with a half marathon, quarter marathon, 5km and Little Devils run – all in the spectacular Whakarewarewa Forest on the outskirts of Rotorua.
The Half Marathon is a two lap course using scenic trails and smooth gravel forest roads.
The Quarter Marathon fun run/walk is a non-competitive event covering one lap of the course. New in 2012 is the 5km Fun Run Walk, again using beautiful tracks in the Whakarewarewa Forest.
All events are based at the Waipa Sawmill Recreation area adjacent to the mountain bike carpark. So if you enjoy running in the area, you’ll love trying out the mountain bike tracks as well.
