An exciting new cycle sportive is coming to the shores of Loch Ness on 4 May 2014 offering the chance to cycle for the first time 67-miles around the loch on traffic free roads.
Loch Ness is one of the world’s best known destinations, its breath-taking scenery and the myth and mystery of the Loch Ness monster have attracted visitors from around the world for years.
The 360° route around iconic Loch Ness, starting and finishing in the Highland capital of Inverness, follows the road around the north of the loch passing through the attractive villages of Drumnadrochit and Invermoriston to Fort Augustus. Here it crosses the historic Caledonian Canal, before returning to Inverness via the scenic South Loch Ness road.
It’s a fantastic challenge offering unrivalled scenery on closed roads so whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or a newcomer looking for your first sportive, this could be the event for you.
Due to overwhelming demand, the entry for the Etape Loch Ness has now closed - thank you to everyone who has signed up to take part in the inaugural event next May.
