Congratulations to the 16,000 people who took part in the 2013 Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon in London on Sunday 6 October.
Runners aged from 17 to 81 years and proud supporters, some so young they were just mastering the art of walking, gathered together in anticipation of the start of what was to be an inspirational day.
Running for a great time or running for the first time, running for glory or running for charity, the atmosphere in Hyde Park was electric and the joy contagious.
Corporate teams representing companies from all sectors came from far and wide to also get in on the action, with 284 teams representing 146 organisations taking each other on in a bid to win this year’s trophy.
Since it began in 2008, the multi-award winning Half Marathon has helped raise in excess of an astounding £18m for more than 455 UK charities, large and small, including the Royal Parks Foundation’s charitable activities across the Royal Parks.
