Entries for Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2017, Scotland’s largest running festival, are open.
Race Director Neil Kilgour said, “The earlier a runner signs up for a major run the better to guarantee their place and ensure they achieve peak performance in their personal quest for success. Make 2017 your year!”
Now in its 15th year, this popular and ever-growing marathon festival takes place on 27/28 May in Scotland’s capital city and continues through East Lothian offering stunning views and an unforgettable running experience. The Edinburgh Marathon Festival is Scotland’s largest running festival of its kind with over 30,000 runners expected to take part in 2017. There are 9 races on offer over two days, including the marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10k, 5k and junior races. There really is something for everyone.
Since it started, the Festival has had an economic impact of more than £25 million for the capital and helped raise more than £30 million for hundreds of charities. Together with the Edinburgh Marathon Festival’s Official Charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, the organisers are hoping to break all previous records and raise even more in 2017.
