As the Army celebrates its 241st birthday this year, the annual theme is 'America's Army: Trusted Professionals'. The Army plays a pivotal role in the Army Ten-Miler, not only as participants, but also working among the nearly 2,000 volunteers who support this world class event.
2016 saw the Army Ten-Miler race celebrating its 32nd birthday, showing the bond that exists between soldiers and the community and their joint participation in the spirit of sport. It remains one of the best 10 mile races in the world and a record 24,088 participants finished the race this year.
Every year runners travel from all 50 States and from many countries around the world to join in the Army Ten-Miler and over 368,400 have run since the race began.
