Thousands of runners attended the 6th edition of France's 2nd largest marathon, in one of the country's most beautiful areas.

From Nice to Cannes, more than 12,000 runners were glad to mix challenging physical effort  with an environment that was pleasing to the eye. Participants had the opportunity to see famous sites from the Promenade des Anglais to the Croisette Boulevard: sun, sea, mountains, palm trees and finally the red carpet at the rendezvous.

With the encouragement of 100,000 spectators, the Ethiopian winner of this event, Abdisa SORI,  ended the race in 2:13:58.

The women’s winner was the Kenyan Salina JEBET who ended the race in 2:41:34.

At the invitation of Peace and Sport, charity partner of the event since last year, Paula Radcliffe was the patron of the 2013 event. The Peace and Sport organisation was also represented in the race by several high-level athletes: Hicham El Guerrouj, Marc Raquil, Vénuste Niyongabo and Kaveh Mehrabi.

In addition to the typical marathon race, runners had the choice of 2 others types of race. The 2 x 21.1Km and the Relay Marathon, created to promote the team spirit.
