For the last 24 years Hannover’s fast, flat course has proven to be a wrecking ball for personal records, and this year will be no different. Now an IAAF Silver Label event, the Hannover Marathon is steadily gaining popularity as word spreads of the lightning quick times runners are pumping out year after year.

Not only does Hannover offer runners a very fast and flat course, but the route also incorporates many of Hannover’s best attractions.

Aside from starting and finishing in front of the absolutely stunning city hall, runners will enjoy the Eilenriede Forest, the lovely Herrenhausen Gardens, the majestic Opera House and much more. The city of Hannover has many beautiful sights to see and the Marathon course does well to encompass so many of them.

Different distances are offered in an effort to get as many people as possible involved on race day. Marathon, Half Marathon, 10km, Kids Run and Fun Run events are available, in addition to a selection of walking and wheeled events.

Looking to set a personal best this year? Do it in one of Germany’s truly beautiful cities – Hannover.

“Fun” and “family friendly” are two accurate terms to use when describing Challenge Denmark – but they don’t tell the full story.

In reality, an event encompassing a resort dedicated to the world’s greatest toy, a lake renowned for being a hub of sporting excitement and also Denmark’s largest water park probably warrants stronger language. Exhilarating; unique; unbeatable – these are better words to describe Challenge Denmark.

The Challenge family of triathlons is set to make its triumphant return to Scandinavia in Denmark’s incredible Jutland region.

The event is staged around the wonderful Legoland Billund Resort, and also incorporates the lovely Fuglsang Lake and the exciting water park Lalandia.

Challenge Denmark is certainly hard to match for surrounding excitement and activity, and many participants will of course look to turn their triathlon experience into a fantastic family holiday.

Givskud Zoo and the beautiful beaches of the North Sea are just a couple of the other outstanding attractions located in the region, meaning tourists really are inundated with activities to choose from.

Participants can choose to enter the 226km full distance, 113km half distance or as a relay team. Challenge Denmark is a very special event waiting to happen. If you’ve been looking for the perfect triathlon/holiday, this might be the one.
