On Sunday 11th October 2015, over 7,500 runners took part in the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon. This sell-out event unveiled a brand new City Centre route for 2015. Runners were treated to a fast, flat course that featured the world-famous historical sights of Oxford, including the iconic Radcliffe Camera, Bodleian Library and Bridge of Sighs, together with the beautiful parks and Oxford University’s colleges, on their journey to 13.1 miles.

Oxford is known as the city of dreaming spires and a mixture of friends, family, workmates and running clubs took to its streets to raise funds for charities, smash their PBs, or to set themselves a personal challenge.

Bedford & Country runner, Steve Naylor, raced home to secure victory with a winning time of one hour ten minutes and twenty four seconds, and the best women's performance was by Fabienne Amrhein in 1:15:53

The event is the latest instalment in the Vitality Run Series, and allowed runners to experience the area’s most-loved sights from a very unique and historical perspective.
