DATEV Challenge Roth

It’s the biggest long distance triathlon in the world and its popularity endures thanks to great organisation and strong community support. The event sells out every year to athletes keen to experience the family festival atmosphere, the challenging course and the spectacular fireworks at the end – in a venue that has become the world’s triathlon Mecca.

Avon Descent

3-4 August

Take the plunge in this one or two-day event – depending on your sense of adventure. This is a whitewater race where paddle and power craft come together in Western Australia. The 124km course tests skill and endurance over two days from Northam to Bayswater, in water craft ranging from power dinghies, kayaks and canoes, to paddle skis and stand-up paddle boards.

Reykjavik Marathon

24 August

When atmosphere is important, you can’t get more electric than Reykjavik. While the Icelanders would enthusiastically support the race anyway, it is always planned to coincide with 'Culture Night' (Menningarnótt), a national event that brings up to a third of the entire Iceland population onto the streets of the capital. This allows participants to run in the day and party into the night.

Vancouver Eastside 10k

14 September

Here’s a 10k run in, for and with Vancouver’s east side, with an additional “Kill the Hill Challenge” for extra excitement. This year runners are invited to give the 700m hill from Dundas Street to Pandora Park everything they’ve got – in exchange for special timing, separate results and prizes for the fastest in the mid-point of this race.
