The Experian Robin Hood Festival of Running is a unique race with a great heritage which celebrates its 30th year in 2010.

The race has something for everyone:

A full marathon, half marathon, relay races over either the full or half marathon and a family fun run.  All the races, including the fun run, which also includes a schools challenge, have Champion chip timing.

It attracts in the region of 14,000 entrants across the five races and is one of the most scenic city centre races around.

The half and full marathon start and finish on Victoria Embankment, a wide picturesque tree lined road alongside the River Trent. The course winds its way into the city centre and around Nottingham Castle passing by the statue of Robin Hood himself standing in its shadow.

The course is very scenic and takes in many of Nottingham’s famous sights, including Nottingham University’s lakes, the historic Trent Building, Wollaton deer park and Hall. The full marathon runners split off at about 12.5 miles and run along the promenade path by the Trent and under Trent Bridge ,leave the city, past the front door of Holme Pierrepoint Hall, the National Water Sports Centre and returning to the river Trent for the final three miles.
