The 2010 Bristol half marathon will take place on Sunday 5 September 2010 and is part of the “runbristol” portfolio of events.

In 2001 the race hosted the IAAF World half marathon and in 2000 and 2007 incorporated the UK and AAA of England Championships. The race was also chosen by UK Athletics to host their GB team selection trials for the 2007 World Road Running Championships.  In 2009 UK Athletics again chose Bristol to host their trials for the 2009 World half marathon.

Three official charities are supported by the Bristol half marathon; CLIC Sargent, COCO and St Peter’s Hospice.

2010 sees the Bristol half marathon sharing its glory with the city’s popular International Kite Festival.  The events will work together to ensure that participants, supporters and Bristol residents enjoy a weekend of entertainment, showing Bristol at its best.

If you love triathlons, wine tasting and a sunny day on the beach, this might

just be the perfect race for you…

Why not visit Kelowna, Canada and participate in the 28th annual Pushor Mitchell Kelowna Apple Triathlon?  Enjoy the dry, sunny weather in the Okanagan Valley and reward yourself after the race with its famous wineries, golf courses and beaches.

Once again the organising team has improved the course, featuring more of the legendary and hugely popular Knox Mountain climb on the bike course as well as safe, scenic and quiet run courses.  All swims take place in the clear, warm waters of Lake Okanagan.

positive responses from participants each year and enjoys an outstanding reputation nationally and internationally.

In addition to being part of the British Columbia Provincial Race Series, the “Apple” has been chosen again to host the Canadian National Championships (Sprint, Olympic and Elites).  The Apple Triathlon is also a qualifier for the 2011 World Championships in Beijing.  Besides age group races in the Sprint and Olympic distances, the Kelowna event will feature kids’ races and camps, Try-a-Tri, Aquathon, FINA open water swims as well as exciting Elite and Junior Elite races.
