Stuttgart - At the Stuttgart Neckar Park, the Wuerttembergische Athletics Association, together with the city of Stuttgart, organise the Stuttgarter Zeitungslauf, now in its 17th edition.

This event is well known as a running and movement event for the whole family.  There is truly something for everything in this event; the AOK Jolinchen-Lauf, the AOK Minimarathon, the LBS Halbmarathon, which is the second largest half marathon in Germany, the AOK-Staffel-1/2-Marathon, the PSD Bank-Lauf, SportScheck Walking and Lotto hand bike and wheel chair half marathons.

All award ceremonies will be held after each event has finished, within the “Hocketse” in front of the Mercedes-Benz arena. There, and of course on the course, the team of Marathon-Photos will take pictures of runners, walkers and wheelchair athletes, as they have in Stuttgart for the past 12 years.

A marathon expo completes the event, with special offers on the topics of performance diagnosis and health checks, as well as an extensive collection of running outfits on sale from clothing specialist DEE.

Walchsee (Austria) – Triathletes watch out! Long distance athletes should keep the 5th September free. The beautiful region Walchsee/Kaiserwinkl invites you for 1,9-90-21! That’s kilometres of course.

The swim is in the Walchsee which is just below the impressive Kaisergebirge. The Walchsee temperature is between 20 and 24 Degrees at this time of the year and the water quality is good enough to drink. That offers the best conditions for a fast swim.

The bike course travels through Kössen, through the wild romantic

Pillerseetal to Hochfilzen, St. Johann, Schwendt and back to the place where everything began; the Walchsee.

The run course is three laps up to 185m altitude and offers picturesque views of the mountains and the lake.

The Challenge can be raced as a single participant or in relay teams. A number of top athletes have already signed up for the race.

The Kaiserwinkl in Tirol is located between Munich, Innsbruck and Salzburg and is therefore easy to get to.

Marathon-Photos photographers will cover this, and the other six Challenge races in the same spirit as “Challenge-Roth” in 2010.
