Au – It is meant to be a "pleasure-tour". Pleasure, of course, means different things to different people. Anything is possible. Hobby, leisure and sport cyclists, children and adults participate in the Wendelstein tour on the 20th of August 2011 and master 50, 115, 165 or even 200 kilometre around the mountains Hochries and Wendelstein. Organiser Ski Club Au, supported by local authorities and sponsors, is offering again many food stations and drinks, and what they offer really deserves the word “catering”. Hearty specialties from the region are always welcome, and there are refreshing and restorative drinks for those whose pleasure it is to reach their own personal minimum time. The event is known for its relaxed atmosphere. The team from will capture a memory. The area near Rosenheim offers an incredibly beautiful setting.

This has now got around to cycling enthusiasts from many parts of Bavaria, Germany and Austria, Switzerland and even the Netherlands, participating regularly. Registration and further information

Exmoor Beast Cycling Challenge

This is a real challenge of an event to take part in. Some of the roads and hills around Exmouth can be very demanding and the weather can be even more difficult. If you want to take part in this though, it won’t be a ride that you're going to ever get bored of. The ride goes around a substantial area of Exmoor and will take many hours to complete even for the best cyclists. You have to begin the race before 8am to make sure you have completed the ride before it gets dark (and dangerous).

Christchurch Marathon goes ahead in nearby town

Christchurch’s SBS Marathon is under starter’s orders for Sunday 5th June on an alternative course at Lincoln, after earthquakes in September and February left the original city hall start/finish area and much of the course in ruin.

Organisers hope the race will help Cantabrians get back on their feet.  The alternative route will start and finish on Lincoln University campus and include residential streets before doing a circuit on the rural roads surrounding Lincoln township.  There will also be a half marathon, 10k and Kids’ Mara’Fun.
