Despite the gusty weather conditions, over 4,000 hardy cyclists turned out to take on the Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia on Sunday 13 May 2012, which has raised in excess of £150,000 for our charity partner – Marie Curie Cancer Care.

With its status as the UK's only closed road sportive to date, the Etape Caledonia has proved a huge success since its launch. The lure of the closed roads and stunning scenery has proved year on year to be a winning recipe for keen sportive riders and first timers alike, who all relish the opportunity to make their way around the 81 mile course.

The organisers are delighted to announce that the option to register your interest in the 2013 event is now available on the Marie Curie Cancer Care Etape Caledonia website.

In doing so, entrants will get an exclusive 24 hour window of opportunity to sign up before places go on sale to the general public. With demand outstripping supply last year, registering your interest could prove to make all the difference if you are hoping to take on the now legendary 81 mile cycling challenge.
