Next September the 14th Barcelona will welcome hundreds of riders ready to recall an authentic stage of the Tour de France. A real challenge for all those cycling fans, with the start from Barcelona and the arrival at Arcalís (Andorra).

The cyclotourist race which will emulate the 7th stage of the Tour de France 2009, will cover the distance between Barcelona and Andorra, and will offer the participants a series of refreshing stations and technical aid stations along the 224 km of the route:


The Etape Barcelona-Andorra by le Tour de France is open to all cycling lovers, amateurs, semi-professionals, offering a unique opportunity to feel like a real pro, covering the same stage of the 2009 Tour de France between Barcelona and Andorra.


The tour will go through several mountainous difficulties, this being one of its highlights - the ascension to the mountain pass ranked 1stcategory by the Tour de France, the Alt de Serra-Seca (km. 128´100) at 1.262m of altitude, with an average gradient of 7´5%, and with maximum gradient of 12%. The race will reach Andorra (km. 187) at 1.050m altitude, direction to the arrival point in Arcalís at 2.240 m altitude. The average gradient of the last 10 km. is of 8´8%.









The organisation will provide the participants with a shuttle bus system, so that they can leave their vehicles the day before the race at the arrival point, and return with the organisation’s bus.


Bib collection is available on Friday September 13th from 11am to 9pm at the sporting facilities of the Universitat de Barcelona (Avda Diagonal 695).
