The City of Cambridge Triathlon is a brand new event for 2014 and is set for 28 September.

It's not often triathletes get to race in a world famous city, so this one should be pretty special! It’s also ideally timed at the end of the summer to provide an end of season challenge.

It's starts with a 1500m swim in the River Cam.  From there athletes will head to transition number one on Jesus Green, grab their bikes and head out of the city on traffic managed roads.

It's a one-lap 38km bike course, but don't be fooled into thinking it's going to be completely flat, organisers, One Step Beyond, found some hills including a beauty in the first 5km!

The final challenge is a two lap 10km run around the city. The route passes Queens and then Kings College before finishing on Jesus Green.

This should be a fast course, and accessible for those without much triathlon experience. Teams of three are encouraged to get together and compete in a relay format too.

Entries are still available for this popular city centre event, which is being supported by Cambridge Property lettings.
