With over 30 years of long distance triathlon history Challenge Penticton is more than ready for another edition of their world-class tri - Canadian style.

The legendary route prides itself on being able to remain a single loop course for all legs of the race.

The swim departs the beaches of Okanagan lake to head in an extended triangle back to the same bay and up the sand into transition located in the park.

From there the single loop bike course takes you through a series of rolling hills along Skaha lake, through the desert valley lined with vineyards and orchards, over Richter Pass at a height of 650m, along the ranch lands of the Similkameen and back to Penticton on the shores of Okanagan lake.

On the run, athletes follow the shores of Skaha Lake over undulating hills with warm lake breezes refreshing you along the way before arriving at the finish to be greeted with the traditional Challenge celebrations.

Challenge full, Challenge half as well as relay options for both distances are available and set to sell out for another year. With warm lakes, sunny dry climate, fabulous food and wine, Challenge Penticton is the perfect setting for your next triathlon.

Almere is a renowned name in triathlon history. After Hawaii, the Holland Triathlon is the oldest triathlon in the world.

Challenge Almere-Amsterdam prides itself on its strong history and on being the oldest triathlon in Europe. Since 1983 the event has attracted athletes from all over the world to compete.

The Almere course is located 4.5m below sea level, just 25km from capital Amsterdam. Still surrounded by water the course features dikes, windmills and endless straight roads where you can’t hide from the wind!

The swim is in the Weerwater, a fresh water lake in the city center.

Being in the Netherlands, competitors are spoilt with totally flat bike and run routes.

The bike course takes in classic Dutch farmlands, a nature reserve with various animals and on clear days a view of Amsterdam across the water.

The run takes athletes on a 6 lap route around the Weerwater, taking in the architecture of Holland’s newest city before finishing on the Esplanade where the welcoming party awaits.

Triathlon is in the DNA of the community here and this is visible in the masses of volunteers and supporters who make Challenge Almere-Amsterdam an extra special event to add to your to-do list.
