More than 5,000 people are expected to participate in the 14km and 5km courses of The Brisbane Times City2South presented by Westpac. Organisers aim to raise more than $200,000 for more than 500 Australian charities.

Runners in Brisbane will be the first to experience the new Run Out Loud Fitness and Music series, which aims to bring running and entertainment to the people of Australia.

International party DJ, Hot Dub Time Machine will get Brisbane runners pumped and ready to pound the pavement when he performs at the start line. The party will continue with participants treated to live music every step of the way.

Participants will experience impressive riverside scenery on one of the most beautiful courses in the country with large stretches of both the 14km and 5km events hugging the Brisbane River.

Elite runners, first time runners and families from Brisbane and around Queensland will be joined on the course by costume-clad participants adding to the atmosphere of the day.

Individuals and teams are encouraged to raise money for a cause close to their heart by setting up their own online fundraising page. Runners can also stay up to date with everything City2South by joining the event on Facebook

The second annual WAToday Swan River Run presented by Westpac will be held in July, following the hugely successful inaugural event which raised more than $100,000 for charity.

More than 4,000 participants are expected to participate in the 14km and 5km courses, with organisers aiming to double the fundraising efforts of last year.

The Swan River Run is the second event in the new Run Out Loud Fitness and Music series, aimed at bringing running and entertainment to the people of Perth.

International party DJ, Hot Dub Time Machine will get Perth runners pumped up and ready to pound the pavement when he performs at the start line. The party will continue on course with runners treated to live music every step of the way.

As well as on-course entertainment participants will be treated to views of the iconic Swan River throughout both distances with the 14km runners also taking in parts of Kings Park before finishing back on the river along Mounts Bay Road.

Organisers again offer dedicated fundraisers the chance to become a Gold Charity Runner, giving support to charities such as the Westpac Lifesaver Helicopter Rescue Service and Cystic Fibrosis WA.
