It already enjoys a reputation as one of the North’s top 10Ks and this year’s Asda Foundation Leeds 10K promises to be even more memorable.

The event was launched in 2007 by the late inspirational Jane Tomlinson CBE and this year marks its 10th anniversary.

Jane, who sadly died shortly after the first Leeds 10K, made headlines around the world as she took on a series of gruelling challenges despite being diagnosed with incurable cancer. Her heroic efforts raised nearly £2m for charity.

The 10th anniversary of this flagship race is set to be extra special with thousands of runners expected to be on the start line on Sunday 10th July.

With a city centre start and finish and a flat, fast route offering PB potential, runners can look forward to a fantastic atmosphere created by large and hugely-supportive crowds.

Leeds is the penultimate run in the Run For All Asda Foundation Series which includes six 10Ks. The final one is in York on Sunday 7th August and offers a rare opportunity to run through the heart of this historic city.
