The first Haute route on 27th of August was loaded with big expectations, Happily the organizers of this bicycle race strike an extremely positive balance. 300 participants from 27 countries crossed 15 Alpine mountain passes with mythical names like Col de Colombiere, Col de Aravis Col d`Izoard and Col de Vars.. They drove 730 kilometres and scaled 17000 metres height in seven days. Everything was an experience, from the start in Lake Geneva up to the cheered arrival in Nice on the promenade Anglais.

The cyclists enjoyed the incredibly nice scenery, praised the security, perfect team organisation and were happy about the communication in the world of the cycling. The organizers could do nothing about the weather - but even this fitted. Michel Roux won in the category Solo men and Stephanie Gros in the category Solo women. It’s already certain: There will be a second event.
