The fourth annual Sunday Age City2Sea presented by Westpac will take place in Melbourne on Sunday 16th November.

The hugely successful event saw 14,000 people take part last year and with a new and improved course designed for this year’s race those entries are expected to increase in 2014.

Participants will be treated to impressive scenery as they run from the MCG in east Melbourne, along the Botanic gardens and through Albert Park before finishing on the beach at St Kilda.

The 5km course starts at the Botanic gardens and is a perfect alternative for first time runners, walkers and families wanting to take part in the event.

Elite runners, first time runners and families from Melbourne and around the country will all be joined on the course by costume-clad participants adding to the atmosphere of fun on the day.

Since 2011 the Sunday Age City2Sea presented by Westpac has raised over $1 million for charity and with more than 500 charities to choose from organisers are encouraging participants to set up their own online fundraising page to raise money for their chosen charity and to run for a cause close to their heart.

Tucked away in central Myanmar, the ancient site of Bagan is the location for the exciting Bagan Temple Marathon.

Home to more than 2,000 temples, Bagan’s beauty and historical significance is unsurpassed.  Sacred pagodas and beautiful temples are scattered across the plains of Bagan creating a mystical, stunning landscape.

The marathon and half marathon will take runners on a voyage of discovery into this alluring and untouched land.  Both events start and finish in front of Htilominlo Temple, with a 7-hour cut-off.

The route is largely flat, on a mixture of gravel and sand on trails and roads.

This event is one in the Adventure Marathon stable, operated by Albatross Travel, a Danish company based in Copenhagen.
