This year's Angkor Wat international half marathon takes place on Sunday 4 December, 5.30am – 10.30am. December is the dry season in Angkor Wat and the temperature range is 18 – 28 C / 80 – 95 F, making running conditions pleasant at the start of the race, but warming up towards the end.
Race categories include the 21km half marathon, the 10km race, 21km wheelchair race, 10km artificial arm/leg race and the 3km family run.
The course is flat and is adorned with ancient trees along the route. It takes runners through the ancient temples of Angkor Wat.
UNESCO has set up a wide ranging programme to safeguard the symbolic Angkor Wat temples and the surrounding area, as it is one of the most important archaeological sites in South East Asia and is believed to be of outstanding universal value.
Funds raised by this event will go towards their usual charity, supporting victims of land mines within Cambodia.
Entries made after 1 November cannot be accepted
